Afforestation, Reforestation & Revegetation

Overview

VM0047 applies to afforestation, reforestation, and revegetation activities that establish, increase, or restore woody vegetation in non-forest areas or enhance carbon stocks in existing forest. It provides an area-based approach that uses a dynamic performance benchmark with remote sensing and plot sampling, and a census-based approach for dispersed plantings such as agroforestry, urban forestry, and shelterbelts. The methodology quantifies carbon removals from increases in tree and woody vegetation cover. Each credit, issued as a Verified Carbon Unit, represents one tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent removed.

01 · Roles

The workflow as an explicit directed graph.
