Methane Recovery in Animal Manure

Overview

This small-scale Clean Development Mechanism methodology covers the recovery and destruction or use of methane from animal manure management systems on livestock farms. Eligible activities replace or modify anaerobic manure handling, for example by installing anaerobic digesters or covered lagoons that capture biogas, which is then flared or used for energy. Emission reductions come from preventing the methane that the manure would otherwise release under anaerobic conditions. Each Certified Emission Reduction represents one tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent.

01 · Roles

The workflow as an explicit directed graph. In Graph each column is one role, so you can see who acts at each step; every node names the org.broadlistening.policy.block.* def it resolves to plus its input and output record. Data flow switches to a lineage view that makes explicit what data each node needs and makes, with dependency arcs tracing every record back to the node that produced it.
